This 1/2" Shoulder Plane works well on end grain and is also good for planing hard, difficult woods. Used for trimming and fine tuning of small tenons, rabbets, or dadoes. Can be used with or across the grain.

• It is 5 3/8” long x 1/2” wide x 2 3/8” high.

• Weighs nearly 1 lb.

• Blade pitch of 60 degrees, giving excellent results on hard or difficult grain.

• Blade is typically used bevel down.

• Blade can be reversed to bevel up, effectively creating a blade pitch of 90 degrees, allowing the plane to act as a scraper. You get two tools in one.

• The blade is 1/2" wide x 3/16” thick Tool Steel hardened to RC 62-64.

• Brass boxed to minimize wear.

• Made from Gidgee, a very dense and stable Australian wood.
