The Sterling Plane Hammer is designed for setting and adjusting the blades in hand planes. When properly cared for it will provide many years of service. The brass face is used to adjust the plane blade; the black nylon face is used to set the wedge in your wooden planes. The nylon face is attached to the hammer head with a 5/16” 18 TPI threaded screw so that it can be replaced should the need arrive. Finely manufactured in the USA from Brass Alloy, Stainless Steel, and Black Walnut.
